Drum Brakes

Mostautomotive braking system are operated by either discs or drums. Drum brakes are rare on modern vehicles, and are used only as a low-budget or simpler alternative. Drum brakes work by pressing brake shoes against the inside of the brake drum to make a vehicle stop, and their existence on your car, if nothing else, should make you feel old-school-cool in a Redd Foxx/velvet drapes sort of way.
